Oxford Who’s Who has inducted Ms. Helen Lozada into the highest Professional Distinction “Top Tier of Excellence Lifetime Achievement Recognition” due to her promotion as Acting Associate Director and administrative proficiencies as a Financial Aid Assistant for nearly ten years. Her extensive knowledge, diligent work ethic and unwavering dedication continue to enable her to successfully inform students on all of their available educational options. Ms. Lozada is one of few special honorees distinguished based on her professional accomplishments, academic achievements, years of service, and the credentials she has provided. Self-motivated, results oriented and driven to succeed, Helen Lozada is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals on par with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity and dedication.
Helen Lozada possesses the knowledge and experience in her industry necessary to become a valuable asset at Tunxis Community College, and to her community. Previously, she has held the title of Financial Aid Assistant at Tunxis Community College. Currently as Acting Associate Director, her duties include completing verification and awarding aid packages for students, loan processing and counseling, consortium's, enrollment verifications for a wide variety of organizations and lenders, oversight of the Governor's Scholarship distribution, reports on statistical info and applications for the Tunxis Foundation. Helen also serves as an advisor for Phi Theta Kappa. She advises students regarding scholarships and leadership opportunities, guides the campus chapter in fundraising, fellowship, research, outreach and community service work and provides counseling for transfer opportunities. Acting Director gives Ms. Lozada the opportunity to promote integrity, responsibility, respect, excellence, and open communication at Tunxis Community College. She values and demonstrates openness and honesty, while resolving differences. She understands what needs to be done in a timely and competent manner, while showing respect and treating others fairly and with dignity. Ms. Lozada honors collaboration, cooperation, teamwork, innovation and creative problem solving through open communication. Ms. Lozada keeps pace with the exciting changes taking place within her profession through her affiliation with the Connecticut Association of Professional Financial Aid Administrators. She is currently working toward obtaining her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at Bay Path University. Ms. Lozada’s position within Tunxis Community College fully utilizes the dedication and aspirations for success.
