Karilynn Bogner is a results-driven professional who has consistently set her career goals on par with her highest aspirations for excellence. Her drive to further her knowledge and expand her skill set led her to take college courses in Business Management early in her career, effectively paving the way for the success she has achieved today. “My family inspired me and gave me the encouragement to strive for my best,” said Mrs. Bogner. In April 2007, Mrs. Bogner took on the roles of Finance Assistant and HR Coordinator at the Cosmosphere International SciEdu Center and Space Museum, a Smithsonian-affiliated museum and educational facility. Since joining the team, she has played an essential role in the seamless execution of the Cosmosphere’s human resources and finance operations. “With the variety of tasks I do and the amount of work I have daily, I feel that my skills in cognitive and analytical thinking, as well as organizational abilities, are paramount to my success,” she said. The Cosmosphere is the only Smithsonian affiliate museum in Kansas. The Cosmosphere also hosts summer camps for all ages, and co-curricular applied STEM education programs for field trips, groups and scouts focused on college and career readiness. Notable items on display include the Liberty Bell 7 Spacecraft, and the Apollo 13 Command Module. Mrs. Bogner plans to continue enriching the Cosmophere with her diversified proficiencies for years to come and also hopes to publish her poetry and stories in national magazines in the near future. “I hope to be able to improve my current position, as well as have the opportunities to continue to grow and learn, both in my position and in my personal life,” she said..
