Vivien P. Woofter
Vivien P. Woofter is the Historic Conservation Advisor at U.S. Department of State, which specializes in government services. Ms. Woofter’s skills and areas of expertise include interior design, project management, historic preservation and restoration. She is currently working on establishing an endowment for the Cultural Heritage Program. After retiring as Director of Interior Design for the overseas Building Operations of the U.S. Department of State on a Friday in 2004, Vivien Woofter began working as its Historic Conservation Advisor on the following Monday. Ms. Woofter’s biggest career challenge is making others understand how important it is to appreciate and properly take care of our countries priceless objects as well as those from abroad. The most rewarding part of her career has been the opportunity to meet and work with many of the world’s outstanding artisans who depend on her for her expertise and guidance. Ms. Woofter's future goal is to establish and fully staff the cultural heritage program and its endowment, “The Fund to Conserve U.S. Diplomatic Treasures Abroad.” . Ms.Woofter received her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from West Virginia University - Morgantown. She is drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as Alzheimer's Foundation and she is a member of the board of directors for the WVU Foundation. Ms.Woofter’s hobbies and interests include philanthropy and interior design.
