June Castro, M.P.H. is a skilled educator with extensive expertise in public health program development, healthcare management, project management and federal and state grant management. Her professional title is Operations Specialist at the AccessHealth division of MedStar St. Mary's Hospital. Managing a chronic health condition can be challenging, especially for those with limited access to transportation. With the AccessHealth program, getting the support you need to get well and stay well is easy. Ms. Castro is one of the neighborhood wellness advocates and Operations Specialists who can assist in arranging transportation, scheduling and preparing for medical appointments. If needed, a neighborhood wellness advocate will also accompany you to healthcare appointments. Due to June Castro’s hard work and determination The AccessHealth shuttle is available to anyone and runs an established loop within the Greater Lexington Park area taking riders to healthcare appointments, community service agencies, shopping areas and the two county transit transfer stations at Tulagi Place and Lexwood Drive, among other stops. June Castro proudly earned my MPH at Walden University. Ms. Castro is the proud mother of five children all of which are well on their way to success taking after their mother. Ms. Castro is also fond of and passionate about organizations such as the St. Mary's Hospital community outreach programs. She is also drawn to animal shelters and the good works that they do for our furry friends.
